AN UNPARALLELED PROGRAM
At Sunshine Day Camp, we offer a quality, affordable, safe and unparalleled preschool program to children 3-5 years old. Our preschool program combines academic innovation with socialization activities and character development – creating a well-balanced experience for each child. Our curriculum encourages reading and math readiness, creativity, problem solving, fine motor skills and peer interaction.
At Sunshine, our dynamic, highly trained staff provide quality care – not simply babysitting. Our goal is to create an environment in which a child’s talents, academic skills and personality will flourish. We have been meeting this goal for preschoolers in the Santa Clarita Valley since 1987, offering both a full-day and half-day program to meet the diverse needs of families.
Childhood is a journey, and education and character building are dynamic, continuous processes. The journey doesn’t end when your child enters kindergarten or 3rd grade or 6th grade or 8th grade. It continues through adulthood. Our Sunshine preschool program is the first step on this journey, helping young people reach their potential in academics, creativity, and character.

ADMISSION CUT-OFF DATE
• Preschool - Children must be 3 years of age by December 2nd to be eligible for Sunshine’s preschool program.
• Pre-K - Children must be 4 years of age by December 2nd to be eligible for Sunshine’s Pre-K program.
PRESCHOOL PROGRAMS (ages 3-5)
• Full-Day Program – Our full-day preschool (3s/4s) program follows a year-round calendar which begins in August each year. Our full-day Pre-K (4s/5s) program runs August to June. Sunshine opens at 6:30 a.m. and closes at 6:30 p.m. Families can drop off and pick up between these hours.
**Please Note- The full day preschool (3s and 4s) program’s tuition schedule will begin and end in August. Monthly tuition is based on our operating costs over a year, and is divided into 12 equal payments. Therefore, if you choose not to attend Sunshine for any portion of the preschool (3s and 4s) year, and don’t pay tuition during that time, you will forfeit your child’s spot in the program. • Half-Day Preschool – Our half-day program follows the Saugus Union School District blended schedule, which operates from August to June. This schedule includes a fall, winter, spring and summer break. The half-day program starts at 9:15 a.m. and ends at 12:15.
OPERATING HOURS
Sunshine is open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. The full-day program is available from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The half-day program typically operates from 9:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
