Sunshine Day Camp is located in Santa Clarita, California. We offer seven (7) programs at local elementary school campuses throughout the Santa Clarita Valley. Our program primarily consists of after-school care for school-age children (grades K-6), although we do operate one preschool program on the campus of Fair Oaks Ranch Elementary (in Canyon Country). Sunshine Day Camp has been my home since 2013. I quickly learned that this program and the staff had something special. This company has a great way of caring for their staff and leading them well–as both the owner and directors of the company have walked in our shoes as counselors themselves. I can truly say that Sunshine Day Camp makes a positive and lasting difference, not only for the families and children attending, but especially for the lucky staff who get to be a part of it all.
I have worked at Sunshine Day Camp for two years, and I have found it to be a great learning environment for the kids, as well as myself. It has its challenges like any work area, but Sunshine has a way of bringing out the best in all of us. I have learned that Sunshine Day Camp is a place where I can come to let out my fun-loving, zany self and make great relationships with the kids, the parents, and my fellow staff members. It’s a big Sunshine family!

Working with children is a special opportunity–which is why we take special care in the people we hire! Sunshine Day Camp counselors are sensitive and enthusiastic leaders. They are able to balance fun with safety. Our staff are people-centered and are great at communicating with our parents and children. Most importantly, staff must be excellent role models to the children we serve!
