Chief Operating Officer
Chad began his career as a counselor at Sunshine Day Camp in November of 1992. While he completed his college work, Chad continued at Sunshine Day Camp, working a variety of different positions within the organization. He moved into management in 2004 when he became the director at our Valencia Valley location. Since then, Chad has directed several of our program locations including Pico Canyon and Oak Hills.
In addition to his extensive experience at Sunshine Day Camp, Chad has a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, with specific education in child development, and a Master’s Degree in Business.
As the Chief Operating Officer, Chad handles many of the day to day operations at Sunshine Day Camp, including programming, personnel, and parent relations.
Chief Executive Officer
Mick began his career with Sunshine Day Camp in January of 1996. During his tenure, Mick has directed several facilities within the Sunshine Day Camp organization including Stevenson Ranch, Oak Hills, and Valencia Valley. In 2002, he was appointed as regional director (2002-2004) and then Vice President of operations (2004-2013). In 2013, Mick became the Executive Director/CEO at Sunshine Day Camp.
Mick has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and a minor in Child Development (including over 30 units of child development from UCLA and College of the Canyons).
