At Sunshine Day Camp, we’re committed to quality care at an affordable price. We’re more than just ordinary child care, and we know you’ll see that as soon as you step into one of our buildings. Still, our price point is very competitive with other child care centers in Santa Clarita Valley–and in many cases, much more affordable.

Safety & Low Child-to-Staff Ratio
The industry standard for school age programs is 14 children to 1 staff. Sunshine Day Camp consistently stays around 10 children to 1 staff. That is because Sunshine Day Camp is committed to safe, quality care. Our #1 Core Value is Safe, and we model that right from the start with our lower staff to child ratios!
Quality Staff
All staff undergo an extensive background check and receive specific training in supervision, safety, and other on-the-job topics.
Curriculum & Homework Club
While many childcares have a reputation for being just “babysitters”, we pride ourselves in a structured, organized program, with a recreationally based curriculum. Daily children will be involved in arts and craft, indoor and outdoor games, social & emotional learning, as well as science, cooking, and other fun activities. Additionally, each of our facilities has a designated homework room, allowing children to complete homework assignments. Staff are available to assist as needed (typically a 10:1 ratio of child to staff). Note: Homework club is not a tutoring service. All this is available as part of the school-age program.
Snack
A nutritious 2-food group snack is provided to the children. For children attending full-day care, a morning snack is provided around 8:30am.
Sunshine Day Camp’s school-age programs are licensed by the State of California, and follow all rules and restrictions as outlined in Title 22.
School-Age Pricing
Entering grades K-6
Tuition (first day of school until last day of school) is an annual tuition broken down into 44 even weekly payments. Tuition is billed and charged each week, beginning with the Monday of the first week of school and every Monday thereafter until the 44th Monday. The weekly tuition amount does not vary from week to week and represents the plan you selected during the enrollment/re-enrollment process. Tuition is NOT automatically charged for the full weeks of school breaks (Monday-Friday) during the school year. These breaks are optional to use and full day care can be added if needed.
