At Sunshine, we aim to create an environment in which a child’s talents, academic skills, and personality will thrive. Our innovative curriculum encourages reading and math readiness, creativity, problem-solving, fine motor skills, and peer interaction. With dynamic, highly trained staff providing quality care—not simply babysitting—we offer both a full-day and half-day program to meet the diverse needs of our Santa Clarita Valley families.
The staff at sunshine are amazing and go above and beyond to create special relationships with both the parents and children. They always make me feel that my daughter is in great care with her best interests in mind. My daughter lights up when she gets to go to Sunshine and see her friends and counselors!
I have continued to be so impressed by how amazing the Pre-K program is at Sunshine Day Camp. The teachers and site director have been absolutely wonderful. My son is learning and retaining so much every day. He loves his class, adores his teachers, and has even been listening better at home because of the character traits he is being taught.
Developed by the founders of the school, our character curriculum is built into the very fabric of Sunshine, teaching children personal responsibility, respect for others, and the value of compassion and caring. Each month, our entire school focuses on a particular character trait and its definition. Children are encouraged to be respectful, kind, polite, honest, and fair. When they display these traits, they receive praise and positive reinforcement. Sunshine teachers work very closely with parents in reinforcing these character traits both in the school and home environment.
Childhood is a journey, and education and character-building are continuous processes. The journey doesn’t end when your child enters kindergarten, 3rd grade, 6th grade, or 8th grade. It carries through adulthood.
