October Planning Guide

Happy October! When planning this month, please remember that Halloween décor is exciting for many children.  However, Halloween can also be a scary time for others.  To this end, Sunshine Day Camp strives to provide a fun and kid-friendly Halloween theme.  To keep our programs consistent, here is a list of acceptable and unacceptable décor:

At times a kid-friendly version of some of the items listed in the “not acceptable” list can be appropriate.  Please see your director for exceptions.  Your director must approve anything on the “not acceptable” list before you can put it up on the wall.  Through there are some things that are not appropriate, we are confident in your ability to provide a fun and exciting Halloween theme.
