Décor, Theme and Room Presentation Tip: Properly Plan!
Great bulletin boards don’t just happen, they take time and thought. Give yourself some time to think and contemplate about what you want your room to look like.
- Sketch it Out- make a simple drawing of your vision for each board (see sample below).
- Talk it Out- talk to your co-counselors and share your idea, see if they have any other ideas to add.
- Measure- measure your board for the dimensions so you know how much paper and boarders you will need.
- Make a List- create a list of materials you will need for each board and what characters or scenes you will need to trace.
- Time Management- be sure to manage your time wisely and meet your deadlines for bulletin boards!

- Share inspirational stories’ from your life.
- Do crazy/ silly things.
- Use their interests in your monthly planning activities.
- Apologize when you mess up.
